About The Beresford Hotel

The Beresford is a Merivale pub on Bourke Street in Surry Hills, with an Art Deco exterior and a cobblestoned beer garden lit by lanterns under Japanese maples. Merivale bought it in 2010, and it runs a modern Italian menu alongside the bars.

It is best known for Beresford Sundays, a free weekly party with a strong LGBTQIA+ following. It starts in the courtyard from midday with rotating DJs playing house, disco, dance classics and pop hits, then moves upstairs to keep dancing as the evening goes on.
