About Phoenix Central Park

Phoenix Central Park is a performance space and private gallery on O'Connor Street in Chippendale, created by arts philanthropist Judith Neilson AM. Durbach Block Jaggers designed the bell-shaped performance space and John Wardle Architects the gallery wing, linked by a central courtyard and garden.

It programs concerts in seasons, covering new music, jazz, choral works, ambient music and indie rock, mostly by Australian artists. All performances are free, with tickets allocated by ballot for each show, and the space opens to the public only for performances. Season XXII runs from 8 October to 10 December 2026.
