About Side Bar (Wake Up! Sydney Central)

Side Bar is the basement bar and nightclub at Wake Up! Sydney Central, a large backpacker hostel on Pitt Street near Central. It is the hostel's social hub after dark, serving dinner and drinks with DJs and occasional live bands, and it is wheelchair accessible.

The weekly program is built around hostel guests and their friends. Wednesday's Wine and Cheese Night, billed as the hostel's biggest social night, finishes with an afterparty at Side Bar, and Throwback Thursdays bring old-school hits to the dancefloor. Expect a young, international backpacker crowd and themed parties rather than a polished club.
