About Burdekin Hotel

The Burdekin is a multi-level pub at the city end of Oxford Street, with a street-level bar and outdoor dining area, an indoor club space and a rooftop bar. The hotel dates from the 1840s, when it was called Flanagans, and was later renamed after the merchant Thomas Burdekin.

In 2026 the venue launched a multi-room live music setup with Good Intent: two band rooms holding 300 and 160, plus a 140-capacity room for electronic music, programming punk, indie, alternative and electronic acts. Drag brunches run on Saturdays, and late trading runs to 4am on Fridays and Saturdays. Entry is 18 and over.
