About King O'Malley's

King O'Malley's is an Irish pub at 131 City Walk in Civic, named after the politician linked to the choice of Canberra's site. VisitCanberra says the walls carry art about the city's history, and that there is a beer garden on City Walk with Guinness and Kilkenny on tap.

The pub's website lists opening seven days, from noon till late, and serves all-day pub food such as pizza, burgers, pies and steak. Its current page shows a live-music afternoon on Saturday 25 April, with proceeds going to the Australian War Widows Association, but it does not list regular gig nights.

VisitCanberra says there is live music four nights a week without naming the nights. The ACT Government's May 2026 guide includes King O'Malley's for local talent, and a 2020 HerCanberra list had weekend sets from 10pm. Those times may have changed, so confirm on the pub's Events page.
