About Metropolis Fremantle
Metropolis occupies the former King's Theatre, which opened on South Terrace in 1904 and staged plays, pantomimes, films and boxing. It became a concert club in 1991 and reopened as Metropolis Fremantle after renovations in 2002. Capitol Corp Group has run it since then.
The venue has three levels and eight bars. On Fridays it plays R&B and hip hop; on Saturdays club hits, EDM and house upstairs, with singalongs and throwbacks downstairs. It also hosts touring bands and themed parties, including a Halloween event on 31 October 2026.
