About Herbert Hotel
The Herbert Hotel is an independent, family-run pub on Sturt Street in central Townsville, a short walk from Queensland Country Bank Stadium. It has traded since 1875, first as the Court House, and was renamed The Herbert in 1920. The Venturato family has owned it since 1986.
There is a main bar, a beer garden, a pool room and a gaming room. Local bands play on Friday and Saturday nights, and the pub also hosts trivia and ticketed shows from touring artists, mostly singer-songwriters and bands.
